Our boy was born 1 on November 2007 . A little hero — 57 cm and 4700. He was a long-awaited child. My and husband and I waited four years for him to arrive, and when we were practically in despair, God sent us our little angel. The happiness in our family knew no bounds, and it was only after our Sasha was born that we  understood what a family is, a real, complete family!

The idyll lasted until the 3 months, when we were admitted to Reznik Hospital for the first time in serious condition due to allergic reactions with a diagnosis of atopic dermatitis (according to weeping wounds all over the body, especially the head). Dr. Stobetskaya, head of the thoracic department S. A., to whom we were taken for treatment, said: «that You thought, another day or two, and You ended up with in intensive care, this is the same head, open fontanelle, a u You have such wounds».

But how can we explain that we followed all the instructions of the local pediatrician, who diagnosed our son with — chickenpox. And to all the subsequent calls and questions about that the rash doesn't look like chickenpox, in for a month, we were told it was chickenpox. In infants, chickenpox progresses a little differently. Apply brilliant green to everything several times a day.

Then they got so worked up that now Sasha is allergic to all alcohol-containing solutions. We recovered, came home, and were happy, but not for long. Until practically a year old, we were «regular clients of the» nursing department of Reznik Hospital. I thought I would remember my son's cries, his blue and punctured hands from IVs, the bruises on his butt from antibiotics, ... for the rest of my life.

But fate had other plans, and there was still much to remember: at 11 months old, we arrived in the surgical department of the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital with a diagnosis of — acute purulent paraproctitis, fistula-like. This fear before the surgery, my son's cries as they took him into the operating room, my son after the surgery under anesthesia, which was done very poorly. God be the judge of that anesthesiologist.

The surgery was scheduled for 16,00 the day before, and it was done at around nine in the evening. And if I was busy with more important surgeries or just patients, this is simply a cry from the heart, because my little one wasn't allowed to eat or drink. How can I explain this to a child?! When my husband and I  were getting on our nerves, and my husband went off to search for an anesthesiologist, because that was the only explanation for the surgery being delayed, for an hour, for half an hour, for another forty minutes, and so on... None of the medical staff could find him.

And instead of apologizing for being so late, this doctor approaches the operating room with a cup of tea and indignantly asks what happened, what the search — I'm already here, and can't I have some tea? We didn't have words, and what could we say, after all, we couldn't argue with him before the surgery? After such anesthesia, our little one spent almost four hours screaming constantly. It was a nightmare. But we survived and this. We recovered, came home, and At home, as they say, and the air heals. As he entered his second year, allergies began to bother us less frequently.

As the doctors themselves said, we gradually outgrew them. Not despite all these illnesses, hospitals, medications, IVs, injections, my son's fear of all strangers, even his godparents, he was afraid, the godmother inadvertently came in a white jacket, and my son screamed so much, not I need more Kol-Kol, I am no longer sick..., our child developed very quickly: he started walking at 10,5 months, In 1,2 he knew all the colors (he could even distinguish light green from green, blue from light blue), he started talking very early, by two years old, Sashenka had learned all the letters, everyone says: "Well done, parents!" "What a we well done, he learned them himself thanks to a talking ABC book and educational cartoons, which he himself asked to be turned on: «"Mom, play me a cartoon about a bunny, I'll learn." with him the letters».

We not could and not cannot rejoice enough in our son. Besides he is growing up so kind, he wouldn't  even hurt an ant. I once saw an ant near his crib, and I wanted to destroy it, but he said: «Mom, you will you let him out on the street? He has babies, right?» How he loves flowers, we live in a private house, and our grandmother decorates the yard with flowers, she probably instilled in him a love for them, he plants them and plants them, and waters them, and weeds them. Everyone is just amazed at what a wonderful son you have. At 2,0 years old, thanks to his grandfather and dad, he already recognized and knew the names of all the tools: a hammer, a saw, a nut, a bolt, a grinder, a welder, and how he loved hammering nails. Well, of course, and a bit mischievous, like all children. basically, a beloved and only child. Just when it seemed everything was gradually getting better, and it was possible to move on with life and enjoy life, fate delivered another unpleasant gift: in February 2010 my husband fell ill, and had to undergo surgery — for a herniated disc and varicose radiculitis.

It became very difficult and hard. After all, I was on maternity leave with my son, and he is the sole breadwinner. But we survived and this. My husband went back to work earlier than expected after his surgery, and because of this, his health is now in serious decline. Life seemed to be improving again, and we started preparing Sasha for kindergarten. And then, in July, we went to kindergarten for the first time, but only for a short time. We caught a cold four days later. And      12      it began. We spent a week or two at home with a cold. At first, I wanted to give up and stay at home with him, but I understood the child needed development, interaction with other children, after all, school was coming up — he needed to adapt to life in society. And then another cold, a lingering bronchitis, then an ear infection, then conjunctivitis. He took all this very hard. He started having problems with his appetite. He became lethargic, sad, and inactive. He developed dark circles under his eyes, and his temperature fluctuated strangely. 36,6He ate very poorly. When I asked him what was wrong, what was hurting him, he 37,5  said he was — tired, and  sometimes clutched his tummy.

I called the pediatrician to listen and examine the child, after which she recommended a blood test. The results, we were told, were consistent with a cold. From 20 to 21 September 2010 I was changing Sasha, and he raised his arms up to put on a T-shirt, I noticed his left side at belly level. I asked: «Does it hurt?», — «No». I press a little: «Does it hurt?», — «No». I was so scared, of course, that my legs gave way. But you can't show fear to a child . I thought maybe it was the liver, maybe the pancreas, maybe, maybe. After all, I'm not a doctor.

My husband and I spent half the night on the Internet, and we're making a request, and so, but these are all assumptions, and to believe in the bad, I didn't want. We waited until morning, and I called to make an appointment for the Reznik Ultrasound Center, but they were booked for seven days in advance. They might be able to make an appointment for 23 September. I make an appointment, but myself can't seem to feel at home. I call back at

the ultrasound, and ask us to at least accept the 22. The doctor who did the ultrasound, may God bless her for her understanding and kindness, after listening to my explanation of why it was so urgent and what was bothering the baby, suggested that we come in the morning at their opening, before all appointments for are made, and she'll do the ultrasound for us. As we walked into the office, I  remember clearly, in my soul there was a glimmer of hope that everything wasn't so scary, that everything would be okay.

But when they told us what this swelling was, the ground disappeared from under my feet, everything inside me was burning, everything was screaming, everything was protesting, I wanted to pinch myself and wake up from a terrible dream, I didn't believe that this was happening to my beloved, my only, my dear little person, this was happening to us. But I should have held back, kept smiling at that sunshine, no matter anything.

And the worst thing is how to explain to a child why we are going to another hospital instead of home, why we're spending the night there, why they're injecting him with little airplanes (that's what we called catheters) into his arms, why they're taking blood, I'm not sick, Mom? Even when we were traveling to Kyiv for a consultation, I in my heart hoped it was some kind of mistake.

Yes, now, I understand that everything that happened to us, and or rather to my son until these days, it was unbearably difficult, but survivable. Now, we're in hell. We made up a story that the whole family needs to get some treatment, and we're going to Kyiv to a sanatorium. They're giving us injections and  airplanes and Sasha, and Mom, and Dad. We just need to be patient for a little while, and we will all be healthy. One day, he asked, and why is my body soft here, but here (gestures at the tumor) hard? We made up a story that where it's hard, an evil microbe has settled in your tummy, and we are driving it out with treatment; it's just a little bit more. But this is for him, we are talking now, and what to say next? Every day my heart breaks into pieces when he holds his sore side more and more often more and more often. We ask, "Son, does it hurt there?" — But he says, "No, I  am a man, after all," and simply leaves silently. How strong he is, my little hero-martyr, even though he's not even  three years old. I ask God, hasn't this little angel suffered enough in his short life?

Even the nurses are surprised that he only grimaces, and never cries, not during the IVs, not during the IVs, not  when «a mosquito bites his finger», and even tells them various stories. I believe that he will cope with this terrible test in life! He  is the strongest, kindest, smartest, and  most understanding child in the world! He will overcome this disease, despite his terrifying diagnosis — nephroblastoma of the left kidney, stage III .

Wilms' tumor — is an embryonal adenomyosarcoma of the kidney. It occurs predominantly in childhood and is quite often associated with malformations of other organs and systems. A tumor in the form of a node can be found in any part of the kidney, and  what's most frightening is that it grows quite quickly and has a high tendency to metastasize, which occurs when the tumor process involves the renal vessels, through which and dissemination occurs.

The estimated cost of the surgery ranges from 10 000 hryvnia to 10 000 dollars.

It all depends on how the child's body responds during the surgery. A course of postoperative chemotherapy will then follow, the duration of which will be determined after the histology of the removed tumor.

The expected treatment after radical nephrectomy (removal of the kidney and all the affected organs) for our diagnosis of Wilms tumour stage III is as follows: chemotherapy for 24-65 weeks together with radiotherapy. How much of the drug Cosmegen we shall need we cannot even guess until the operation is done. Its cost is staggering: 1 vial of Cosmegen costs around 70 euros. And then there are other medicines, syringes, infusion sets,

The CT scan alone, which was used to establish the diagnosis, cost us 1045 UAH, and we bought all the chemotherapy drugs ourselves before the surgery.

Our family is currently making every effort to raise money for the surgery and our son's treatment.

But we already understand that we cannot cope with such a tragedy alone, so we turn to   all people with a plea and a request to help save our son, our happiness, our joy, our hope, our life.

Help bring back childhood and a normal life to this little, but so strong-willed person. We thank everyone in advance for your help!
