«We lived, enjoyed life, and our children grew up. Now they're real helpers. Our Polina is 14 years old. She loves animals and helps with the housework. In the village, after all, you can't live without a house. She nursed and raised our dog's puppies herself. From early childhood, she was a daredevil, afraid of no one and nothing and protected her from her older brother's bullies. She loved playing football with the boys. One day, during  a game, she injured her knee. She began to limp. She spent six months being treated at Odessa Regional Hospital. They couldn't diagnose her. And then, like a bolt from the blue, a stunning diagnosis — osteosarcoma of the hip… How it's so scary for a mother to hear such words! Where should she run, what Saints should she ask for help? Who will give her hope?! Who will say it's a mistake?! There is no mistake! People, cherish every minute of your life! Anyone can hear these words, and then life is divided into BEFORE and AFTER. Who will save my child?! The doctors are giving her hope. There's a chance our girl will live!!! But the treatment will be long. She will need multiple chemotherapy sessions, a complex knee replacement surgery , repeated chemotherapy courses, successive surgeries on her lungs, and more chemotherapy courses. Then comes a long rehabilitation period. We have collected everything we can, but it's a drop in the sea. We are immensely grateful to those who will help us in our grief!!!»
