On the day he was born Timur, 20 February 2003 an unusually large amount of snow fell for Simferopol. The sun shone very brightly. It seemed as if the whole world was rejoicing at the birth of our son. Probably, like all parents with the birth of their children, we made plans and dreamed. Then — the first parental worries, sleepless nights, first teeth, first words. Life became filled with meaning. You see, in what happiness is.
A year later, we moved In Odessa, Timka went to kindergarten. First friends. First morning performances. Poems dedicated to his mother. Sports: Timur — karateka. Whatever his son does, he does, giving it his all «his full». First sports camps, first victories, achievements, new belts. Then — gymnasium. New history, new friends... Timur really enjoys studying, and he's good at it. His son — is the best student in his class.
But along with school came illnesses: every morning, the child would start with feeling unwell, then he mustered his strength and went to school. We sounded the alarm right away. There wasn't a single doctor left to see for a year and a half: not a single one in Odesa, nor a single one in Kyiv. But no one could give us a diagnosis. Every week there were new tests, new examinations. And, naturally, new worries. We decided to go. In Moscow for consultation with endocrinologist. One hour — and a preliminary diagnosis was made. Then an MRI and the final diagnosis was like a death sentence: germ cell tumor of the brain. Malignant. Large.
The child's condition began to deteriorate before eyes. Then the clinic: chemotherapy and all its severe consequences. Timur's condition is getting worse and more severe. After We've had bad blood tests since each course. We're taking a long time to recover. The tumor isn't reacting. We turned to a German clinic, where they promise to help. We continue to believe and hope that someday our Timur will start smiling again and return to school. But it's getting harder and harder to believe. And only Timur has a question: «How are you?» Always replies: «Fine!». We should learn from his optimism and willpower. He's a a real hero!

The child had a hard time with all the chemotherapy treatments. The tumor grew and Timurka lost his sight. His parents They planned to take the boy to Germany for surgery. They were waiting for the bill, but in due to his serious health condition (Moscow doctors said the child would not survive the flight), a decision was made in to perform the surgery in Moscow, at the Neurosurgery Research Institute N.N. Burdenko.
16 February a complicated operation was performed to remove a tumor. It lasted 6 hours. The child is in intensive care.
