Time to paint peonies!

29 May

Talented artist Pavel Yayso with his students Anastasia and Luisa suggested that together with the young patients paint a picture «Peonies» for the oncohematology department. After all, May — is a wonderful time of year, the time when peonies bloom. (The name peony (Paeonia) comes from a Greek myth, which tells of Paeon — disciple of the miraculous healer Asclepius. With the help of a certain plant, he performed miraculous healings and healed even the god of the underworld, Hades, from wounds inflicted on him by Heracles. This plant, according to legend, is Paeon received from the hands of Apollo's mother, Leto, the goddess of darkness. The miraculous healing aroused such envy in Asclepius that he ordered Paeon's secret death. Hades also in gratitude for the help rendered did not allow him to perish, transforming him into a beautiful flower, which has since borne his name and possesses not only beauty, but and many healing properties.)
We all really want our children to experience the same healing! Art therapy has a very positive effect on  health! We drew a lot, painted faces, joked, laughed, blew bubbles — and it was all for the good. We had a wonderful day With Pavel and our volunteers Pasha, Lyalya and Marina.
Thank you!
