Exactly one year ago, the Charity Foundation «Little Bee» initiated a fundraising campaign for the purchase of a cell separator Blood «Fresenius» for the Oncohematology Department of the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital.
This device separates a blood component — platelets, which are vital for children — oncohematology patients. Daily platelet infusions continuously save our patients from severe consequences of the disease.
We solemnly and are pleased to announce that, thanks to our joint collaboration, Charitable Foundation «Little Bee» with the German foundation «Ein Herz für Kinder» («Heart for Children»), and also with the help of caring Odessans — this project was completed.
A long-awaited day for our department's patients, for their parents, for the staff and, of course, for the entire Charitable Foundation team «Little Bee»!
1 November 2016 a new device «Komtek» was delivered to the Blood Transfusion Department (Regional Children's Clinical Hospital, Ak. Vorobyova Street, 3).
It is important to note that the initial cost of the device was 84 463 euro. During the negotiations, the manufacturer «Fresenius Cabi» offered special conditions for Ukrainians, and the price of the equipment was significantly reduced −52 400 by euros!!!
The allocated charitable funds «Ein Herz für Kinder» — 56 125 were spent on equipment payment and the purchase of system kits for the device's operation, in amount 25 pieces (3 725 euro).
Funds raised Odessans, in as part of the project, funds will be allocated for repair of the previous device. Stay tuned for news and reports!
