9 On August 15, at 15-00 the City Art Gallery (Holy Archangel Michael Convent, Uspenskaya Street) will host the grand opening of the exhibition 4 «Light of Hope». The exhibition is being held with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Agathangel of Odessa and Izmail, with the support of the Odessa Regional Peace Council, and under the patronage of Odessa Mayor G. Trukhanov.
At the exhibition, drawings by children undergoing and who have completed treatment in the Oncohematology Department of the Odessa Regional Clinical Hospital, will be on display. All works were created under the guidance of talented teachers, namely
— Pavel Yayso, head of the art studio at the Odessa Center for Vocational and Technical Education, and head of the author's creative workshop — Olga Frantsuzova, whose works will also be included in the exhibition.
Participating in the exhibition are: Anatoly Parchik, Daria Kushchak, Artyom Bondarenko, Alexandra Onishchenko, Artyom Krasnoperov, Valeria Bulgakova, Daniil Solodkiy, Vladimir Palamarchuk, and Alexandra Soltanovskaya.
Using a variety of artistic materials, the young artists created works worthy of the highest praise, reflecting their perceptions of the world around them, their hopes, and fantasies.
You need to look at these paintings with your heart. Looking at the works of young patients, we see, above all, spirituality and sincerity. The drawings are colorful, rich in tonal contrasts, and in context with lines, they convey the overall mood — of hope.
We invite everyone who wants to support young creators to attend the grand opening, which will take place on — 9 August 2017 in 15.00. The exhibition will run from 9 August to 22 August 2017 .
