A "Tangible" Gift for the Children of Odessa

16 February
We are pleased to announce that a much-needed Braille embosser has been donated to the visually impaired children at the specialized boarding school № 93. Braille Embosser — An original device that allows you to simultaneously emboss one and the same sheet of paper with Braille, and traditional letters and numbers. Braille symbols are raised combinations of several dots, with which encode the alphabet, punctuation marks, and other symbols. This font is used by blind and visually impaired people who, due to health reasons, are unable to work with plain text.
This is a huge gift for the children at the boarding school, as this printer significantly simplifies and importantly improves the learning process for this category of students.
Unfortunately, the Foundation's staff encountered incredible difficulties while  receiving the printer, and  specifically at our Ukrainian customs office.
The process of customs clearance of our cargo lasted almost four months. A tremendous amount of effort and time was expended by the Foundation's staff, volunteers, lawyers, and brokers. We did not give up! Our shared goal of — helping children gave us strength!
We are grateful to all the people who did not remain indifferent in this, as it turns out, difficult task.
Thank you for your tremendous assistance to the legal team from Kyiv, to the volunteers and staff of the English charity «Ukraine Charity» for your compassion and help for the children of Ukraine, and also to the medical center «Odrex» for your attention and great assistance In such an important cause!
Thank you all! The children received a long-awaited printer, and with and small sweet gifts, which they were very happy about!
