10th World Winners' Games

12 July

Well, that's it, time to summarize the Ukrainian team's trip to the 10th World Winners' Games, organized by the Charitable Foundation "Give Life" in Moscow.

World Winners' Games – the largest sporting competition for children who have survived cancer. The Games include competitions in track and field, swimming, table tennis, shooting, chess, and football. More than 500 children from fifteen countries are coming to test their strength! This year, the Ukrainian team included six children, four of whom – are wards of the foundation «Little Bee».

At the Winners' Games, real sets of medals are awarded, but there are no losers, because every participant in the Games – A WINNER!

These were unforgettable six days for children and parents. Over the course of three days, competitions were held in running, shooting, table tennis, swimming, and football. The competition was anything but childish, the opponents were worthy and strong, but despite this, the Ukrainian athletes brought home six medals, including two gold! It's impossible to describe the joy felt by our team! As part of the cultural program, the children visited the Moscow Planetarium, VDNKh, and a Disney musical.

These competitions – are a major step in the rehabilitation of children after long-term treatment for oncohematological diseases. This is crucial and necessary for both the children and their parents to return to normal, fulfilling lives. Special thanks to our long-time counselors, Yulia Mikheeva and Anastasia Gromova, for the support and warmth you provide the children!
