What does good parenting mean?
On this topic can be debated endlessly, since every family has its own values. We consider kindness, compassion, and an inner desire to help others to be one of the components of healthy parenting! We met with two socially responsible young people: — Katya Noy and Maxim Tikhonchuk.
In all courses, even adults are taught that in first and foremost, you must protect yourself, and only then run to the rescue of others, unless you are an EMERCOM rescuer. However, these guys made their strong-willed and bold decision — to help others and became a shining example of healthy parenting! If you put yourself in the place of the parents, it becomes exciting, but also a feeling of pride for your own child is overwhelming.
Ordinary Odessans contacted our foundation with a request to help reward young heroes, although neither Katya nor Maksim consider themselves such and constantly repeat: "I just did what I thought was right «. Children are often forced to show heroism where adults overlooked or made mistakes.
We with were delighted to make the kids' dreams come true. We called Katya's parents and Maxim's parents, who in turn allowed us to talk to the teenagers. We invited them to choose what they want most in the world. Katya and Maxim refused to name their dreams for a long time, and only once in a conversation with Katya thought: «Before the trip to camp, I wanted a hoverboard».
29 In October, Katya Noy had a birthday; she turned 16 years old. Katya — is a very modest, smiling, and incredibly sincere girl. On that day, the foundation's volunteers gave her a small surprise. A bouquet of colorful balloons, which, it turns out, she absolutely loves, a ride on a bike, and an Odessa biker badge from Pavlo Yaiso, and also practically her first bike — hoverboard! The girl smiled the whole time and said: «Thank you, thank you not for the presents, but for the emotions!» She said this was her first such an unusual birthday. The weather on this day seemed to intertwine with her sunny and open soul, it was warm and bright. We also invited Katya to become our Volunteer, on which she quickly accepted. Katyusha, we once again congratulate you on your New Year! We wish you a happy New Year filled with good health, pleasant emotions, and new achievements!
