For a year and a half now, the foundation «Little Bee» has been holding a charity event 10/25. During this time, we together with have helped many children get better, or take a big step towards this. Today we will tell you something new history, not just history, but the fate of a little girl, Zhenya, who knows how to fight and win, if she a little in this.
10 February 2016 of this year, the campaign 10/25 will be held for Zhenya Vishnyakova. This wonderful child is probably familiar to many of you. In 2011 of this year, our foundation helped Zhenya fight and in the result Overcome such a terrible disease as leukemia. The treatment was difficult, long, and very painful. There were many different complications. The most terrifying were a fungus in the lungs and cerebral encephalopathy. She had to relearn everything: holding her head up, sitting, walking, talking. Some didn't believe back then that Zhenya would pull through. Her condition was very, very serious. But our Zhenya is very strong. She made it. She returned to normal life and became a schoolgirl. «A real schoolgirl!» — likes to clarify She — «I already go to school for real, with a school bag!» (For the first two years, Zhenya was homeschooled). Zhenya grew up and became an ordinary, healthy girl. Almost five years later, something terrible happened — Relapse... Believe me, there is no more terrible word for the parents of a child who has had leukemia. It chills the soul. It tears the heart into pieces. It's scary even to say. out loud. I so want to wake up at home in the morning, in my own bed, and realize it was just a nightmare. But alas...
Now Zhenya needs an urgent, expensive operation abroad a bone marrow transplant from an — unrelated donor. In Ukraine, such operations are not performed. Brother, unfortunately as a donor Not suitable.
Unfortunately, we are catastrophically short of time. From the conclusion of the chief hematologist of Ukraine, S.B. Donskoy: «Considering the involvement of the bone marrow, allogeneic BMT is absolutely indicated during 2 remission».
Bone marrow transplant is performed only after remission is achieved. In T-cell leukemia 2 remission lasts In an average of no more than 3 months. If a relapse occurs during the treatment stage, then a third remission will be virtually impossible. Accordingly, there will be no opportunity to perform BMT.
Simply put, we have less than three months to raise the necessary funds and perform a bone marrow transplant. Less than three months. LESS THAN THREE MONTHS to DO IT!!! Less than three months to save this wonderful girl's life.
We still firmly believe that there are still many people who care about the fate of someone else's child. We have every been convinced of this. We kindly ask you — to respond!
