Like a bolt from the blue, little Vika was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Since the end of October 2009 a new life began for Vika and her family: the intensive care unit of the regional children's clinical hospital, and a transfer to the oncohematology department. As a three-year-old child, Vika couldn't understand what was wrong with her, why she was in the hospital, why she was getting injections, and why her mother was crying.
