Vika was always a cheerful and happy child, despite growing up without a father. All these years, she lived with her seriously ill grandmother and grandfather. The girl played with the children, went to school, attended singing, sewing, and cooking classes. Vikulya never complained about anything and was always in a good mood.   Coming home from school, a nine-year-old girl helped her paralyzed grandparents, who had suffered a stroke, while her mother was at work.

This summer, Vika was bought a bicycle, which she learned to ride. At first, everything was fine, but one day,  the girl came home limping and told her mother she had fallen off her bike. The next day, the mother showed her child to the doctor, who said it was a bruise and it would soon go away.

But a month later, the hematoma had not reduced, but rather, grown even larger. The girl was sent to the Odessa Regional Children's Clinical Hospital, where a biopsy was performed.  After this, Vika was diagnosed with — osteosarcoma (bone cancer). During an examination at a clinic in Kyiv, numerous metastases were found in the child's lungs .

Currently Vika is undergoing a course of chemotherapy, followed by surgery. The girl's family is unable to provide  further treatment. 

Vika hasn't lost hope, with all her strength fighting her illness with all her might, dreaming of running and playing with her friends, going to school, and simply enjoying life!
