At Dashenka was diagnosed with — Down syndrome at birth. This was a terrible blow for us. We had waited so long for this child, and the doctors tried to recommend abandoning him, but we didn't even the issue because she was our child. And on the second day, she was diagnosed with a suspected heart defect. And after an examination, the diagnosis of a very complex defect was confirmed. Dasha was so weak that she couldn't even take breast milk naturally; she was fed with bottles of «brilliant green» at 15ml per for 40−50 minutes. The past 10 years have been, in the true sense of the word, a struggle for survival. Her little body, with stubborn persistence, clung to life, grew, and developed, bringing us joy. Dashenka underwent 4 surgeries on her heart and in 2013 we hoped for the completion of treatment. But fate had its way and the child's body had a hard time adjusting to a completely new circulatory system, complications arose, and  problems with the kidneys. The heart was not producing the necessary blood pressure, and the kidneys were not functioning effectively under these conditions. And the question arose about the next operation — mitral valve replacement. But after the surgeries, due to complications with the kidneys, not a single surgical clinic in Ukraine will undertake this operation, including the Amosov Institute and  OKHMATDET. In 2015 we were invited for an examination followed by surgery at Mother Polka's Clinic in Lodz, Poland. However, and after conducting an examination, they were unable to help us. The reason was — the lack of conditions and necessary equipment for post-operative treatment. In this year, we were examined by Professor Edward Malec of the University Clinic of Münster, Germany. He is ready and has all the conditions for Dashenka's treatment at the clinic. However, the price for our family is currently not lifting costs- 35 500 euro and we also need funds for travel, support, and accommodation. And we no longer have time left, 24.08.2016 Dasha's condition sharply worsened. She was hospitalized and at she suffered a prolonged cardiac arrest. Thanks to the skillful actions of the medical staff, she was resuscitated. She remained in a coma for several days. She is currently still in the cardiac surgery department; the crisis has passed and she needs urgent surgery after regaining her strength.

We ask all caring people to help us raise funds for Dashenka, who, despite the hardships she has endured, enjoys life, makes her parents happy, is loved, and loves as best she can…
