At Dashenka was diagnosed with — Down syndrome at birth. This was a terrible blow for us. We had waited so long for this child, and the doctors tried to recommend abandoning him, but we didn't even the issue because she was our child. And on the second day, she was diagnosed with a suspected heart defect. And after an examination, the diagnosis of a very complex defect was confirmed. Dasha was so weak that she couldn't even take breast milk naturally; she was fed with bottles of «brilliant green» at 15ml per for 40−50 minutes. The past 10 years have been, in the true sense of the word, a struggle for survival. Her little body, with stubborn persistence, clung to life, grew, and developed, bringing us joy. Dashenka underwent 4 surgeries on her heart and in 2013 we hoped for the completion of treatment. But fate had its way and the child's body had a hard time adjusting to a completely new circulatory system, complications arose, and problems with the kidneys. The heart was not producing the necessary blood pressure, and the kidneys were not functioning effectively under these conditions. And the question arose about the next operation — mitral valve replacement. But after the surgeries, due to complications with the kidneys, not a single surgical clinic in Ukraine will undertake this operation, including the Amosov Institute and OKHMATDET. In 2015 we were invited for an examination followed by surgery at Mother Polka's Clinic in Lodz, Poland. However, and after conducting an examination, they were unable to help us. The reason was — the lack of conditions and necessary equipment for post-operative treatment. In this year, we were examined by Professor Edward Malec of the University Clinic of Münster, Germany. He is ready and has all the conditions for Dashenka's treatment at the clinic. However, the price for our family is currently not lifting costs- 35 500 euro and we also need funds for travel, support, and accommodation. And we no longer have time left, 24.08.2016 Dasha's condition sharply worsened. She was hospitalized and at she suffered a prolonged cardiac arrest. Thanks to the skillful actions of the medical staff, she was resuscitated. She remained in a coma for several days. She is currently still in the cardiac surgery department; the crisis has passed and she needs urgent surgery after regaining her strength.
We ask all caring people to help us raise funds for Dashenka, who, despite the hardships she has endured, enjoys life, makes her parents happy, is loved, and loves as best she can…

"I would like to express my deep gratitude and thank everyone who responded to our request and helped raise funds for Daria's treatment. Thank you all so much. 15 In February, Dasha underwent surgery at the University Clinic for Cardiac Surgery in Münster, Germany. During the surgery, an implant was inserted and the mitral valve was corrected (plastic surgery). The surgery was successful, Dasha's condition significantly improved, and her vital signs returned to normal. Even on the second day, despite the procedures, she looked better than before the surgery. The treatment went without complications, and we were discharged on the 9th day. We are now home and hope that everything will be fine!"

"I would like to express my gratitude to all the kind people who responded to our appeal and were able to help us raise funds for our daughter Daria's treatment.
May God grant you all good health, and may troubles pass you by!
Two months have passed since Dasha emerged from the crisis, and today we are home. Three days ago, we had a joyful event. Dasha began walking on her own, without any help, support, or assistance. So far, only around the apartment, but it's still a success. Her condition is stable, and she is active.
To date, thanks to the help of Yuzhny volunteers, friends, acquaintances, and simply caring people, we have raised 88500 hryvnia. The BILD hilft e.V. charitable foundation "Ein Herz für Kinder" Germany has guaranteed coverage of the surgery costs in the amount of 12870 euros. In total, to date, we have raised approximately 16000 euros. According to the invoice issued by the University Hospital of Münster for 35500 euros, we still need to raise 19500 euros and funds to cover accommodation, food, and travel expenses.
Sincerely,
Vasiliy Shargorodsky."
