On 5 October 2016 an irreparable tragedy happened, one that divided the life of Maryna, of her family and of everyone who knew her into «before» and «after». A terrible diagnosis — acute leukaemia burst into the life of this young and beautiful girl.

«She studied diligently at the National University «Odesa Law Academy», actively participated in the academy's student life, always had many friends, and is, without a doubt, the kindest and most compassionate person I've ever met  .» - says a friend and classmate about Marina.

But in one moment, everything came to an end. A carefree life turned into endless trips to hospitals, tests, examinations. It happened so suddenly that we couldn't believe what had happened. We hoped it was a mistake, anything but  leukemia. A long and difficult treatment began, which lasted about a year. Marina spent the entire year battling her disease, undergoing chemotherapy, and being treated at the Republican Center of Hematology and bone marrow transplant at based at UZ «9 City Clinical Hospital» of Minsk, and was already in remission. It seemed it was finally all over, and she was on the path to recovery. But it's autumn again, October again, and that terrible disease again… Her body has failed again. A relapse. It couldn't be more terrifying. Both mentally and physically, she no longer has the strength to fight. But the vitality in the eyes of this patient and strong-spirited girl, the desire to see the world and enjoy life, does not allow to give up. Since 17 October 2017  Marina is back in Minsk in the safe hands of the medical staff. IVs, injections, chemotherapy, and a bone marrow transplant await her on the path to recovery.

Marina's loved ones and all caring people have helped her immensely, for that she and her family are infinitely grateful. To everyone who is worried and encouraging her, who, with their actions, instills hope in her and her belief in success and recovery, thank you so much!

More than ever, she needs help again! It's very difficult to start over and to re-experience everything that seemed to be behind us! This requires, first and foremost, a huge financial investment. Cancer treatment is very expensive, and an ordinary family in cannot cope alone . We hope that your kind and compassionate hearts will not abandon us! Any help from you is invaluable to us!

We sincerely hope that the funds for treatment and surgery will be raised, the disease will be defeated, Marina will recover, and will be able to fully enjoy life!

With respectfully, Marina's parents.
