Thank you to everyone who helped Nikita. Together with you, we did everything possible to ensure that he had more happy moments. Together with you, we made his wishes come true and gave him a holiday. He is no longer with us. 18 May 2014 the heart of this little courageous boy, who united so many people from all corners of our planet, stopped beating.

The protocol has been completed and Nikita has been sent home. He is now on maintenance chemotherapy «Vinorelbine» They come to the department for IVs once a week. The rest of the time he is at home. He has developed abdominal pain at night and has lost his appetite. We have sent documents to Blokhin Oncology Center, Moscow. We are also considering a trip to Germany.

A joint charity fair was held at the St. Elias Monastery by the Charity Foundation «Little Bee» and the Moscow Region «Orthodox Generation» — Let's save Nikita Podolsky's life. Everyone who wanted to help brought homemade Lenten baked goods, preserves, and handmade items to the fair, which were exchanged for donations. All funds raised during the fair — 6 185 UAH went toward the fundraising for Nikita Podolsky's surgery (reports here http://www.pchelka.ua/ru/finance). Thank you all!
Special thanks to — the abbot of St. Elias Monastery — Archimandrite Viktor Bykov for permission to hold the event at the monastery walls. Also to the assistant girls from the Moscow Region «Orthodox Generation» for their invaluable contribution to organizing and holding the charity fair. And to Tamer Banura for his regular support of the foundation in various events and his prompt assistance in raising funds for Nikita Podolsky's operation. Yesterday, he donated from «Orthodox Generation» another 2341.00 UAH for Nikita.

Mom and Nikita arrived at the department and had a CT scan and MRI on Monday. We then urgently sent the documents to Moscow and Munich. We received a prompt response from Alexander Grigorievich Rumyantsev, — Director of the D. Rogachev Federal Scientific Clinical Center for Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, and Immunology (thanks to our new friends in Moscow for their help and contacts). The result is disappointing: the center's specialists collectively reviewed Nikita's documents, and unfortunately, they are unable to accept the child for treatment and surgery. In Ukraine, they administered all possible treatment according to European guidelines, but Nikita's body is not responding. His only hope is experimental treatment at a clinic in Greifswald (they provided us with the contact information). We immediately sent the documents to this clinic. We're waiting.
We hope that the money deposited into the foundation's account and Nikita's mother's account will be enough for his treatment. The main thing is to get a response from Greifswald as soon as possible. There's still no response from the Munich clinic.

While we wait for news from Germany, we decided to spend our time productively and cheer Nikita up a little!
Day one. Yesterday (Sunday), Nikita, his mother, and Ekaterina (the foundation's administrator «Little Bee») visited the circus. Nikita was there for the first time and was very pleased with what he saw. Today he shared his impressions with us! Thank you so much to Alexander Kolesnichenko for organizing the trip to the circus!
Day two began with the release of balloons. We hope that all the wishes Nikita made when he released the balloons will come true! — After that, we headed to Primorsky Boulevard, to the Duke de Richelieu monument, where another surprise awaited us. Anatoly, President of the Public Organization — «Motor-Life Motorcycle Club Odessa», immediately responded to our request to fulfill another of Nikita's dreams. A sea of emotions and cries of: «Hurray-hurray» were heard over the phone yesterday, and today, Nikita seemed incredulous when he saw a real bike and the coolest biker. While riding, he even waved at the camera, even though he usually hates having his photo taken. But that's not all the surprises! We also prepared a gift for Nikita from the foundation «Little Bee», which Nikita had long dreamed of but couldn't receive because all the family's funds since 2011 have been going toward his treatment. Now his dream has come true! Nikita now has his own personal, real bike! We express our deep gratitude to Vitaly, director of the «First Children's» Bike Store, for the huge discount! Nikita's joy knew no bounds! Tired but happy, Nikita returned to the branch before evening. That evening, he went to wish his Pink Lady — Ekaterina a happy birthday. Nikita prepared the gift himself. Today, Nikita became a real adult — he turned 7 years old! It's nice to receive gifts, but it's much better to give joy and smiles to others. Many people gathered to wish Nikita a happy birthday. The celebration began in the morning, when Nikita and his family went for a walk and got a cake. Upon returning to the department, a real surprise awaited them. — Balloons, the funniest clowns in Odessa — Tuta and Senya, guests, and a good mood. The best day ever — The day when wishes come true! Nikita received everything he wished for and dreamed of on his birthday today: a beautiful cake (from his mom), construction sets (from Tatyana Gerasimova), a remote-controlled car (from Natasha Shulyk), a long-awaited skateboard (from — «Pchelka»), a tablet (from all the children in the department), a video greeting from Australia, and many, many more gifts!
Tuta and Senya threw a truly noisy and fun party for Nikita and all the children in the department: with contests, jokes, and games! They also gave all the children branded notebooks and «ballpoint» doggies. Nikita actively participated in all the contests, laughed, and even allowed himself to be photographed! Thank you, Tuta and Senya! Afterwards, Nikita received all the gifts, gave the children balloons, and everyone went to the kitchen to eat cake and fruit. Nikita's birthday was a wonderful, joyful success! Thank you to all the guests, everyone who came to congratulate Nikita and shared the celebration with him!
