Meet Nikita, he's 14 years old. Nikita is kind and cheerful, the only child in his family. He adores animals, loves football, and dreams of becoming a football commentator or sports journalist. Once upon a time, he and played football himself, but illness robbed him of this opportunity.

Until September 2012 he was an ordinary boy. In September, his parents noticed a growth on his left forearm. They consulted a surgeon, who referred them to an oncologist for a consultation. Until  October, Nikita was seen by an oncologist. At a follow-up examination in late October 2012 , a decision was made to surgery (removal of the tumor). However, due to the discovery of a heart condition, the surgery was postponed until  month. After surgery for heart disease and a cardiologist consultation, Nikita was hospitalized for surgery. A biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of — alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.

Nikita completed 9 chemotherapy and 25 radiation. And the boy recently completed 6 maintenance chemotherapy courses according to protocol, with «vinorelbine». Having entered remission, the joy was short-lived .

After the first follow-up examination, Nikita returned to the department to continue his fight against his disease. A growth was discovered on his left forearm. Nikita's mother went to the Kyiv Research Institute for a consultation with doctors. There, after consultation, the doctors at the next meeting decided to continue chemotherapy with the second line of anti-relapse therapy.

Since February of this year, Nikita has undergone three such chemotherapy treatments, after which his blood counts dropped sharply and he had to resort to R-mass transfusions and thrombus concentrate. Now, after another scheduled CT scan, in addition to the previously detected lesion, which remained unchanged during treatment, an inflamed lymph node has been added, which also absorbed contrast.

It was a difficult conversation for the mother with her son. The child had so much hope and believed that such difficult treatment would be a thing of the past, and that he could go into remission and fail to succeed. Now Nikita's mother is once again struggling to find the right words, worrying about how to tell her son about further treatment without bringing him even more heartache and disappointment. Unfortunately, the struggle will continue.

Now Nikita's mother is returning home from Kyiv, and she's not bringing any good news with her with her As early as this Monday, she and her son are expected at the  cancer institute to continue treatment. Another surgery awaits, followed by more chemotherapy, but this time far from home.

Nikita's mother is asking everyone to support their family financially. Nikita is in his second year of treatment; before the family was struggling to cope on their own. Now, the family has exhausted all financial resources. Help this kind, bright boy continue his fight! Nikita needs prayer and financial support!
