«Dianochka fell ill in July 2011 . After graduating from kindergarten, she began to feel weak, with pain in her joints, and lost her appetite. The diagnosis — acute lymphoblastic leukemia — came as a real shock to the family. A long and difficult treatment began, lasting about ten months. Once home, after treatment, Diana began to recover and live a normal life.
Four years later, like a bolt from the blue, — Relapse. There's no word more terrifying and deadly threatening. The girl immediately began anti-relapse chemotherapy. And, thank God, she went into remission. This means the disease is treatable and the question of a bone marrow transplant is not a consideration. Diana will have to undergo ten rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, which are very difficult to tolerate. Cancer treatment is very expensive, and an ordinary family in cannot cope alone with it.
High-dose chemotherapy — Cytosar or Aleksan— costs about 1000 UAH for one vial, and for all units require 36 vials. The price of Puri-Netol 7 € and Lanvis 187 is $ for 25 tablets. You need to take them four blocks, — for a block takes 19 tablets. In addition, you need to purchase a liver medication, — Heptral, a combination of medications for stomatitis (some of which cost around 2 500 UAH), an antiemetic — Zofran, Quamatel — for the stomach, antibiotics, dexamethasone, potassium, and much more.
The amount needed for Diana's treatment varies for each cycle — from 16 000 to 21 000 UAH. She needs to undergo 10 chemotherapy cycles, which have already been completed 3 cycle. Next, she still faces a long course of — radiation therapy and two years of maintenance chemotherapy.
Dianochka was always cheerful and full of energy. Her hobbies changed frequently, and new ideas emerged every day. Her favorite hobbies — are drawing and cooking various dishes. At her 11 years old, she bakes pizza and makes delicious biscuits. She dreams of meeting chef Hector Jimenez-Bravo. Even now, in the ward, the girl is full of inspiration and hope that she will soon recover and go home to her little brother Maxim.
«My heart is breaking from pain and a lump in my throat from the realization of the situation my child is in. But we hope that there are kind and sympathetic people who want and can help save our daughter's life. After all, there are no other people's children . In turn, we will try to do everything possible to cure our child, and we ask all people with kind hearts to respond to our request and help save Diana's life.
With respectfully, Mom Svetlana and Dad Dmitry».
