In the photograph you see a young, healthy and happy man — Vladyslav Lavorko. On 28 May 2019 he was in a terrible road accident together with his girlfriend, whom he was giving a lift to work.
In the evening, as the two of them were riding a motorcycle along Serednofontanska Street towards the railway station, a white ''Skoda'', with its right indicator on, turned to the left. In that situation not even the most experienced rider could have reacted in a fraction of a second — the motorcycle ran into the rear door of the car. The young man and the girl survived by a miracle.
Vlad loves life very much and will never walk past if help is needed. He loves playing the guitar, spending time with friends, going for walks and enjoying nature. He treats his mother and grandmother with particular tenderness. With his positive spirit he lifts everyone's mood.
At the moment Vladyslav is in the intensive care unit of city clinical hospital No. 1 with the diagnosis: combined cranio-thoraco-skeletal trauma, severe craniocerebral injury. Contusions of the brain. Subdural haemorrhage in the right temporal region, subarachnoid haemorrhage. Fracture of the vault and base of the skull. Fracture of the bones of the facial skull. Closed chest injury. Contusion of the lungs. Bilateral community-acquired pneumonia. Fracture of the fifth rib along the posterior axillary line. Comminuted intra-articular fracture of the distal metaepiphysis of the radius.
His condition is grave; the young man still cannot breathe on his own. In three weeks more than 160 000 UAH has gone on keeping Vlad in hospital. Ahead of him lie many operations, expensive plates and a long period of rehabilitation.
His family and friends ask everyone who cares for help. We believe that together we can help Vladyslav get back on his feet and return to an ordinary happy life!

Good afternoon everyone! Vlad is recovering at home. Thank God, the fistula has healed. There will be no surgery to seal it. However, during the accident, he suffered a blow to his heart, so he still needs to treat it. Since there was damage to the brain the brain and cervical vertebrae, heneeds to restore coordination, learn to walk normally, and move his limbs clearly. Nneeds dental treatment and jaw correction.
In mid-September, the restoration of the maxillofacial region will begin. TheI massage is ongoing, physical therapy, medications, and a good diet have been prescribed. Vlad's mother is caring for him and cannot return to work. The rehabilitation period is still ongoing.

Good afternoon everyone!
At this time (6.06.2019) Vlad is still in the Jewish Hospital. Doctors say that basic resuscitation has been completed and he has now entered the critically ill stage. 3 June An MRI was performed, and purulent pleurisy was discovered. A drain was placed in his lungs to collect the pus.
Vlad still has a tracheostomy in his throat, as his lungs were severely damaged in the accident. His main food is being administered through a feeding tube, and he eats a little on his own. Vladislav is starting to ask for his favorite foods. Relatives communicate with the boy using an alphabet written on a piece of paper: they ask questions, he nods, "yes" or "no". Vlad cannot speak himself because of a tracheostomy. The temperature is still rising, it's being brought down with medications.
A massage therapist comes to Vladislav and works on his muscles, which have become very weak over time. With the help of his mother and the doctor, the young man can barely take a few steps and is still unable to lift his arms and legs.
4 A consultation was held in June and a thoracic surgeon was called in. 8 June planned transfer of the boy to the Regional Hospital, in the thoracic department for further lung treatment. Once the lungs are clear of pus, surgeries to reconstruct the facial and skull bones can be performed.
According to estimates, from the time of the accident until 27 May treatment of Vladislav approximately 230066 UAH was spent.
