«We are Dashenka Kushchak's parents. We are turning to you with a plea for help.

Twelve years ago, in our family, our little angel, our daughter Dashenka, was born. We dreamed about her and waited for her for more than 11 years. Endless visits to gynecologists, family planning centers… The entire pregnancy was under the strict supervision of doctors. And the long-awaited miracle happened: our little Thumbelina was born at a gestational age 8 of just 1.800a completely healthy baby! In the life of our cheerful and purposeful Dashenka, everything was radiant and wonderful. Every day was woven from music, joyful laughter, and our parental love. Dasha studied diligently at school, drew beautifully, and won prizes in dance competitions.

But one day, after a successful oriental dance competition, my daughter became very ill, and then — it was like a nightmare: endless hospital corridors, lines, tests, injections, white coats, punctures, a ward in the hematology department, and that alarming smell of serious illness everywhere. The formerly rich and carefree life was cut short and a new one began — with a diagnosis of «acute myeloid leukemia», or, to put it simply, — blood cancer. Since then, we with have practically settled in the hospital. She's gotten used to the nausea after chemotherapy, got used to seeing her shaved head and large eyes in the mirror pale, thin face. Oncology treatment — is difficult, expensive, and very long, but and it can be endured if you believe in the results. And we believed, and believe that in the everything will definitely be fine.

But in Dasha's weakened and tired body, fungus crept in. The situation is extremely dangerous. When infected by fungus, chemotherapy is strictly contraindicated, and the cancer, already almost defeated, is taking advantage of this opportunity to gradually return. Now, the success of the entire treatment and the prospects for a cure in the future depend on a single medication — VFEND («Vfend»). Dasha needs two bottles per day, a course of treatment  — at least a month, possibly — two. Each bottle of medication costs an average of 4.000−4.500 UAH. In our country, there are very few families capable of spending 8−9 thousands of hryvnias daily, and we — are not one of them. We're out of money and sold everything we could… We are appealing to anyone who can help, even with a hryvnia, and tell about Dasha's misfortune, even to one person. We really want our only daughter to live! We beg you to help, even 5−10 UAH. They'll save our little angel!"
