In a small village in Odesa Oblast, there lived a small family: mother Marina and son Sashunya. They lived like everyone else, like most families: everyday life, Sasha — school, mother — work. Father left the family when the boy was 2 years old. Sasha is the only child in the family. Mom's favorite, her hope and support. Mom was delighted to pick up Sasha from kindergarten, delighted in his good appetite, delighted with his games, his playful and cheerful nature. Sasha grew up and went to school. New friends appeared, new responsibilities. Sasha became a student. But not Mom's joy didn't last long. Sasha was very tired during lessons, and he often came home from school with a headache, tired for no apparent reason. At a routine medical examination, the doctor suspected that Sasha had a heart defect. To confirm the diagnosis, the child was sent to the regional hospital. The diagnosis was not confirmed, but Sasha began to feel even worse. The child was offered treatment at the sanatorium «Zmina» in Yevpatoria. During a medical examination, he was found to have high blood pressure. So Sasha ended up in the Odessa Regional Hospital, where he was diagnosed with: «Polycystic kidney disease, secondary scarring of the right kidney, stage III chronic renal failure, and chronic toxic hepatitis.»

Marina's feelings were shattered. Her child, who means the most to her, is — sick. Sick with an incurable disease. This torment makes her despair. How can she save Sasha? How can she help him? The first and main problem — is money. Marina had to quit her job. Her child's illness became a turning point for her, one that shattered her world, her plans, and her hopes.

Sasha urgently needs a kidney transplant.

Please help this mother save her only son!
