In the beautiful city of Odessa lives a sweet girl named Anastasia. She's an inquisitive, active, and loved child. She always makes everyone happy with her successes. In 2014 year, Nastya in passed the entrance exams to school (1 grade), but while undergoing a comprehensive examination at the clinic, a fluid accumulation in the abdominal cavity was accidentally discovered. The girl was sent for further examination at the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital. After a series of tests, a CT scan and MRI, doctors decided to perform surgery. During the operation, a mass was discovered in the abdominal cavity, followed by a devastating diagnosis: malignant mesothelioma of the abdominal cavity and of the pelvic region. This disease is very rare in children and there is no practice for its treatment in Ukraine.

After some time, the girl and her mother were sent to Kyiv for additional examination at the Cancer Institute. In Kyiv, a repeat histology test was performed, which showed that the girl had carcinoma. Two trial chemotherapy cycles were prescribed. Again, in a cycle, CT and MRI. The chemotherapy scans did not produce any results . Nastya and her mother were sent to another oncology clinic, where they diagnosed mesothelioma. The Kyiv Cancer Institute prescribed 4 trial chemotherapy cycles, which did not produce any results . After this, 27 in December, a medical council decided to discontinue the child's treatment. As of the girl is currently without treatment, but the parents are not despairing and are looking for clinics in other countries that have experience treating this disease.

In March 2015 at an Israeli clinic performed a repeat histology. Nastya was diagnosed with — primary peritoneal serous carcinoma. Unfortunately, this is also a very rare type of cancer and there is no treatment practice in Ukraine.

Nastya's parents are currently awaiting proposals from foreign clinics. Without even speculating, one thing is certain: — treatment is expensive!

11 December 2015 on the foundation received a letter from Aunt Nastenka: «Good morning, my dears. Today, the worst thing that could have happened. MY BELOVED ONE IS NO MORE. I will never hear more from my beauty AS I LOVE YOU. As She believed, and we along with hers, that she would be cured and would go to school. But everything collapsed in one moment, all plans and all hopes... I am speechless, it can't comprehend that Nastyushka has become an angel. Thank you to everyone who was there. May the sun protect you all. Lord. »

"Nastya is still in intensive care. Her temperature has risen to 40 and the doctors are now investigating the cause. As soon as Nastya regains her strength and all her vital signs are normal, she will have another operation because not all the germs were removed. My princess still has a very difficult and long road to recovery ahead of her, so we can't relax. The second operation is being done to remove all foreign objects, so the body doesn't start rejecting them and inflammation doesn't set in. The first operation was very difficult, and Nastya lost a lot of blood, so for now all efforts are focused on restoring all vital signs. Only then will the operation and intense chemotherapy take place. Regarding Nastya's blood clots, they said it's all resolvable; the most important thing now is to get our little girl well again. Many people are interested in the SCORE, but no one can give it in advance because Nastya's case is unique and unusual, so payment will be made only upon delivery. As of today, the Morozov Clinic alone will cost more than 2 week. Natalya was supposed to receive the bill today for payment at the cashier. I'll send her the documents as soon as I have them. Honestly, it's scary to imagine the bill the Herzen Clinic will issue, because the main team of doctors from this clinic, and thanks to the director of the Herzen Clinic and oncologist Ryabov, performed the operation. This is the news we have. We are so grateful for every prayer you send our Nastya, for your help, for your moral support, for your sincere hearts! It's so important to know that you are there, that you believe in us! We ask for your prayers for our girl; we really need and care about this. Thank you for everything; without you, none of this would have happened. Perhaps, a deep bow, dear ones! 400 thousand rubles for"

"The long-awaited operation finally took place. The doctors and directors from the Herzen Clinic reached an agreement and united with Morozov Clinic and performed Nastenka's surgery at the Morozov Clinic. Equipment was also brought from the Herzen Clinic. An American doctor was present at the surgery. Nastenka's case was shown after the surgery on Russian Channel One. At the moment, our girl is still in intensive care, her condition is stable, with positive dynamics. We don't yet know what further treatment will be, because at the time of the surgery, Nastya had a 2 blood clot in her heart, and she lost a lot of blood during the operation. Once Nastya's condition stabilizes, a consultation will be held to decide what to do next. The clinic can't issue an invoice yet, because Nastya's case is unusual and involves 2 clinics. Therefore, the invoice will be only after treatment."

Doctor at the Moscow GEMC clinic questioned Nastya's diagnosis and decided to perform a repeat biopsy to confirm. But during preparation for the surgery, a blood clot was discovered in the girl's heart. Since the family didn't have 4 thousands of euros just for heart tests for 2 days, they refused hospitalization, and Nastya was urgently sent by ambulance to the Morozov Children's Clinic.
At the same time, the family began contacting other clinics. The surgical oncologist at the Herzen Clinic had no doubts about the latest diagnosis. He promised to do everything in his power, saying the operation would be very complicated and expensive. A consultation was held, attended by the clinic director and many doctors. All the doctors took Nastya's problem very seriously, and the clinic director himself promised to help rid the girl of the germs.
The surgery was rescheduled for the end of October, as an American doctor with experience treating Nastya's case will be arriving. After 10 October, a comprehensive examination and preparation for the surgery will begin.
Nastya's family is asking for your help in the fight for her recovery, so that they can finally forget all this is a bad dream.

Nastya and her mother are currently in Moscow. Since fundraising is proceeding very slowly, and cancer doesn't wait, treatment had to begin immediately. We decided to go to Moscow. Nastya's diagnosis confused not only Ukrainian doctors but also leading Moscow physicians. After another histology examination, Nastya was given a third diagnosis: low-grade mesothelioma. Yesterday, an emergency consultation of distinguished doctors from many Moscow clinics was convened, but all three diagnoses raised doubts. Since their treatments were completely different, they decided to perform surgery and repeat the biopsy (histological examination) to establish an accurate and correct diagnosis and prescribe the correct treatment. The invoice for the surgery and histological examination was 6405,2 €. If Nastya's mother agrees, she will begin preparation for surgery this week. Thank you to everyone who is helping! The Kalenikov family thanks everyone who has not ignored their plight!

Nastya is feeling relatively well. On the weekend, she went to visit her grandmother, where her long-held dream came true - to see a real rainbow. The child was overjoyed. Nastya is sure that there is magic that makes her wishes come true, and this magic will rid her of germs.
Now this magic depends on a huge sum of money, which is unaffordable for the girl's family. They can't do it without your help!

"This morning began with very good news. We received the documents from the Sant Joan de Déu (Barcelona, Spain). They are ready to accept Nastya for treatment. We were actively searching for a clinic, and a clinic in Turkey responded. "MEMORIAL" in Antalya offered us the examination, which I wrote about earlier. While raising money for this examination, we continued searching for a clinic that would guarantee not only the examination but also treatment. Luck smiled on us, and the Sant Joan de Déu clinic in Spain, which specializes in treating rare types of cancer, responded. We immediately jumped at the chance to save our child, as this is practically the only clinic that has stated its readiness not only to examine Nastya but also to undertake treatment, which could be Treatment has already begun with partial payment.
However, according to the invoice they provided, the cost of treatment for our family is simply unrealistic (76198 euro), and for us, this is a huge chance to save already lost time and begin treatment as soon as possible. In Nastya's situation, this is very important and absolutely necessary!
Thank you all so much for your prayers, for your support and help. – Thanks to you, we are holding on and believing in the best! We bow low to you for your kind, responsive hearts! May God bless you!!! THANK YOU!!!!"
Sincerely, Natalia Kalenikova!

News from Mama Nastya:
"Good afternoon to all the KIND HEARTS! Nastya is doing as usual. We're waiting to go to the clinic.
Nastya's condition is stable, and I hope it doesn't get any worse. Nastya is home-schooled her teachers praise her, and she's keeping up with her school curriculum. She can't wait to go to school and have many friends.
She also looks through and reads everything in our group. She's decided that after chemotherapy, she's not so beautiful and that's why they don't give her enough money. And She asked, if we don't raise money for treatment, will her microbes be happy again?
But we haven't lost hope and won't give the microbe a chance. And she's holding up likely and believes a magician will be found. During her illness, it's impossible not to notice how she's changing: Nastya may still be a child, but her thoughts and look are no longer childish! She's growing up! She's growing up and understanding everything that's happening to her, becoming more independent... But there's only one thing she can't do - find that money, that enormous sum that her life is worth! Here Only you and I, adults, can help! People who care about the suffering of others. For who see a child's pain as their own. Please, right now, we need your help FROM EACH OF YOU!!!"
