15.02.2023 Dear donors! At the request of Vladislava's father, we are closing the application for assistance for the child. The funds for further treatment (proton therapy) are being fully allocated by the clinic in Spain where the girl is currently being treated. The parents tried many clinics and countries before finding one that was adequate in terms of both budget and treatment. In Turkey, the child underwent a complex tumor removal surgery, and in Spain, they were offered chemotherapy and proton therapy. A huge thank you to everyone who supported the family!
For a while, information about Vladislava will be posted on billboards and fundraising boxes at retail outlets in Odessa. The girl's father has asked that all funds received for Vladislava be donated to the treatment of other children.

Hello, my name is Vladislav Ivanov, I'm from Odessa, Ukraine.

In February 2021 my daughter Vlada was diagnosed with anaplastic ependymoma. We spent a week visiting doctors trying to figure out why she had severe headaches. We had tests, an MRI, and, in fact, a brain tumor was discovered. That's when the ground fell out from under me. The realization dawned — this had already happened, which meant I needed to take action quickly.

The first thing we did was go to a children's hospital in Kyiv, where they installed a shunt. Unfortunately, fluid began to accumulate in his head, and his vision began to deteriorate rapidly. The doctors explained that surgery was urgently needed.

We sounded the alarm and flew to Turkey a few days later. They were already waiting for us at the hospital. They examined him, took blood tests, and scheduled surgery for the next day. Everything went well. Then we underwent a course of radiation therapy. The results were positive, and we were sent home to Ukraine (August 2021 ). We had MRIs every 3 month, and the images were good.

But a year later, in March 2022 of the year, we heard the terrible words «relapse», «war». We hastily gathered the necessary documents  and left for Lviv. From there, large buses began transporting all the children with cancer along the humanitarian corridor from Ukraine to Europe. My daughter and my wife were sent to France. A repeat operation was performed, the tumor was removed, and then a course of chemotherapy was prescribed. After a month of treatment, the doctor declared that chemotherapy wasn't helping. The doctor suggested experimental chemotherapy, but that didn't help either.

As a result, my daughter's condition is getting worse and worse every day. She can barely walk, and her right leg and arm are practically useless.  Our child was wasting away before our eyes. This is all very scary, but even more scary is leaving Vlada without the opportunity for treatment because the money hasn't been raised.

We can't sleep at night, and our child and we are emotionally unstable.

But there's a small chance for life. Doctors from  clinic «Medipol Mega», Istanbul, Turkey, have once again responded to our request for treatment. Our family's financial situation is declining. The cost of the operation 18 000 $

In hopes of saving our child, I am asking for help from anyone who can. It can be any amount we can afford. Together we can save our daughter. Don't pass by, PLEASE! Today! Now! Vlada is waiting for her, hoping and believing. Help us! I believe there will definitely be those who will not abandon her in difficult times, who will lend a hand and help her escape the vortex of misfortune.

Help save our daughter's life!

Our daughter grew up a happy child. Like all children, she went to school, enjoyed life, and loved to draw.

Three months ago, our life changed dramatically. Our daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The ground slipped out from under her, the world collapsed, and terror gripped her soul. It was very difficult to pull ourselves together and make the right decision: where to run?!

With God's help, we began immediate treatment. A shunt was installed in Kyiv. Then, a successful tumor removal operation was performed in Istanbul.

The next, very important step in the fight against the disease is –  TREATMENT. Turkish doctors are giving our daughter a good chance of recovery, but she urgently needs radiation therapy and chemotherapy.

Treatment costs money, which, unfortunately, our family has no money left. This terrible disease has devastated us financially and tormented our souls. We have no time to waste!

But we firmly believe that there are good people in the world, and that with your help, our daughter will be healthy again and live a long and happy life.

Please don't remain  indifferent to children's lives! We would be very grateful for any help!

Sincerely, Vladislava's dad.
