Mashenka is 8 years old. She has a congenital defect: spina bifida, flaccid paraparesis, and pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary and fecal incontinence. On the first day of her life, she underwent surgery for a torn hernia. She then underwent two more surgeries: a brain bypass and a post-hernia plate. Her parents are constantly involved in her child's treatment and wellness (massage, physical therapy, spa treatment, consultations with neurologists, orthopedists, and urologists), and regularly order special shoes.

The parents are constantly busy with the child's treatment and health care (massage, physical therapy, spa treatment, consultations with neurologists, orthopaedists and urologists), and regularly order special shoes.

In 2011-2012 in Kyiv, 4 surgeries were performed to correct hip dislocations and foot deformities. Masha spent almost a year in a cast, enduring severe trauma. Unfortunately, Masha herself hasn't  started walking, but moves with the help of «a walker», a device that, like several others, was provided by the district social welfare department.

Mashenka really wants to walk and is making a tremendous effort in her rehabilitation process. She is a smart, beautiful girl with precociously mature eyes, and successfully completed first grade in a regular school.

Masha has serious difficulties due to incontinence. At  Kyiv, at consultations at they refused to help, saying literally: "Accept it, your child is disabled for his whole life". But the parents are looking for ways to somehow improve their child's condition. Mashenka needs a consultation with foreign specialists and very high hope for further treatment.

The family has another child, and there is no money for  an expensive trip abroad .

Help, give Mashenka hope!
