My name is Natalia, and I'm Dimochka's mother. 
Dimochka was born in 2014 . The whole family was overjoyed at his birth. My boy was growing up healthy. There were no abnormalities. In 2 we began to notice that he was having abdominal cramps. He couldn't speak yet. This happened infrequently, for seconds. 5We consulted various specialists. We saw a gastroenterologist, a cardiologist, an immunologist, and a neurologist. We also had various expensive tests. 
In 2021 Dima became ill during an online lesson. He lost consciousness, then fell into a long sleep. His condition worsened. He began experiencing violent crying and laughter, constant fatigue, aggression, and problems with other organs. We consulted a neurologist. The doctor prescribed an MRI and EEG. On February 23rd, when the MRI was done, we learned that Dima had a tumor in a hard-to-reach place. It was like a bolt from the blue. I thought this couldn't happen to me. We changed several more doctors. They told us all sorts of things and tried to scare us. The story is very long.…

Everyone looked at us like we were museum exhibits. 

Hypothalamic hamartoma – This is a very rare disease. 1 person on 200 000. And we were among this exception. Although this is a benign tumor, it is located in the area of the brain responsible for vital functions such as sleep, thirst, hunger, memory, and temperature. It also irritates neighboring brain structures, – the endocrine system, and most importantly, it causes epileptic seizures. In our case, partial seizures. These seizures occur in series, preventing our child from growing and developing normally. Unfortunately, the seizures caused by the hypothalamic hamartoma do not respond to medication. Currently, the child is on anticonvulsants, but they only slightly alleviate the seizures, without eliminating them completely or eliminating their consequences.

The only solution is surgery. They cannot help in Ukraine. In Japan, they specialize in this type of surgery and have promised to help us. The cost of the operation is 1 500 000 UAH (5 283 000 Japanese yen). I am raising my son alone, and my parents help out when they can. Paying for such an expensive surgery on my own is impossible. It's very difficult to watch my child suffer.
