In 2007 when Fedor was 14 years old, while playing football, he suffered a seemingly minor injury. This is possibly what  led Fedya to a hospital bed with a diagnosis of — osteogenic sarcoma of the right tibia.

It was a long and excruciating treatment. Numerous courses of chemotherapy, several surgeries, including the most horrific — amputation of the tibia of the right leg. All the livestock that fed the large family was sold. Moreover, this simple family from a remote area where they couldn't boast of much income had to cover all the treatment themselves. The family first turned to the public for help after the treatment had already been completed, but... it was too early to celebrate. The boy then needed to pay for a new prosthesis costing    20 000 euro. And what could be more terrifying for a seventeen-year-old boy who had overcome  sarcoma than losing his leg? There was despair, and obsessive thoughts «his life was over.

Thanks to many kind people, the necessary funds were raised and in 2010 Fedor received a wonderful German-made Mutars Implantcast prosthesis. During this time, Fedya graduated from school 11 with the firm intention of entering medical institute to become a rehabilitation physician, in order to help children with disabilities like himself. But, alas, in  the admissions committee convinced me to consider another specialization, since standing on «iron» legs, it's difficult to help others stand on legs.

Behind all these plans for the future, a new problem crept up unnoticed — Fedor grew up, which is quite natural for a young man. But the prosthesis can't grow with the healthy leg. Now there's a noticeable difference  — of almost 13 cm! At a new surgery is currently needed to lengthen the right limb by adding an endoprosthesis module. But and it's not that simple here For one leg lengthening period, you can only lengthen it by 5 cm. Unfortunately. And then with a high risk of developing skin necrosis. Not despite all the warnings about risk, you should be happy and with this 5 cm!

When we were talking about the cost of the module, we were aiming for a amount of 120 000 UAH. But we've just received the official invoice. With the custom order taken into account, the cost has increased to 198 410 UAH.

The parents are trying to knock on every door, realizing that this amount is completely unrealistic for them. And assembling it will take quite a bit of time . Despite the specially ordered orthopedic shoes, the boy has difficulty walking. His spine is suffering, and at such an expensive prosthesis could break at any moment due to improper weight distribution. So, Fedor is forced not to take unnecessary risks, but sit or lie down. But it's simply unbearable for a young man to lie around all day and understand that his ability to walk completely and depends entirely on complete strangers, but such caring people. This young man needs help just to walk!
