I am the mother of five-month-old Yelyzaveta Holubeva, who was born on 5 April 2017 in the sunny city of Odesa. My whole pregnancy was difficult; at 25 weeks I learnt that my child had a congenital heart defect — a complete atrioventricular canal. After birth Liza was taken straight to intensive care, as she could not breathe on her own and her little heart was greatly enlarged. Our daughter had her first operation on the seventh day; the post-operative period was very hard.

We spent two months in intensive care on antibiotics and oxygen, and we have already been five months at the regional children's clinical hospital.

We badly need your help for one more operation, so that our girl can breathe on her own without an oxygen supply. At the moment we are beside her all the time to keep watch over the oxygen supply.
