Vladislav was born weighing 3 kg without any medical problems. He lives in a loving, complete family. Apart from an acute respiratory infection, he has never been ill. At 2,5 he began attending kindergarten. Vladislav is very sociable and obedient, and he has made many friends. The caregivers treated him with love.
At home, the boy sees only positive things. He is a beloved son to his parents, and a long-awaited grandson to his grandmother — we affectionately call him — Vladushka. No one ever could have imagined that such a disaster could befall us! Like a bolt from the blue! Acute lymphoblastic leukemia … One morning, Vladislav woke up with tears in his eyes. We asked him what was wrong, and he answered that his leg hurt a lot.
We thought he might have fallen off his bike and injured himself. At the hospital, they did an X-ray. The image showed nothing . The doctor recommended a compress, but it didn't help. The pain in his leg went away, but it appeared in his arm. We went back to the doctor. Another X-ray. And still nothing. Vladik's face turned pale, and dark circles appeared under his eyes. Since we couldn't help Reni, where we live, and the child was getting worse, we went to Odessa.
After the tests, we were sent to the oncohematology department. When I stepped into the department and saw the children undergoing treatment there, I thought my heart would stop. In my heart, I hoped it was nothing serious, just an inflammatory process, but when the doctor came in and told me the diagnosis, the ground fell out from under me. It was the most terrible day of my life! I was working as a waitress at a cafe, but it closed for renovations and I was sent on indefinite leave. My husband works as a laborer and hasn't received his salary for three months. My mother — is a pensioner.
Her pension isn't enough to care for her child. I ask all caring people to help us get our child back on his feet, so that he can smile again and enjoy life! I want everyone to hear my cry for help!
