My name is Olga. I am — Ksyusha Antonenko's mother. I always dreamed of having a daughter. Even during pregnancy, we had to fight for our child's life. Placental hypertrophy and the threat of miscarriage were diagnosed early on, and we remained with her for almost 9 months. The help of doctors and the grace of God did their job. Ksyusha was born a large, healthy baby. Her physical and mental development has always been ahead of her peers.
From her very first year at school she set herself on excellent results, and her own diligence and the teachers' help made it possible. Kseniia loves reading and learning foreign languages. She attends school № 40 in Odesa, and this September she moves up to form 6–N. Our daughter enjoys studying English and German. Kseniia also has strong artistic abilities. When inspiration comes, she models and draws. Before her illness Kseniia used to dance.
Ksyushenka — is a capable, kind, and diligent girl with enormous creative potential and big plans for the future! She currently dreams of becoming a judge.
In June 2019 after an injury, Ksenia developed intermittent pain in her left knee. In early July, she underwent a thorough examination, the results of which were hard to believe...
Osteosarcoma (high-grade malignancy G3) n/3 of the left thigh. My daughter was referred for treatment to the National Cancer Institute (Kyiv). She has already 30.07.2019 begun the first course of chemotherapy. Given the complexity of the diagnosis and the aggressiveness of this tumor, high-dose chemotherapy has been prescribed. Ksyusha will undergo long-term treatment, which, under the best-case scenario, will last at least a year. Ksyusha's father and I are constantly worried about our daughter and experience pain that only someone who has gone through something similar can understand. We are not wealthy, so we are forced to turn to you for help and support. With your help, Ksenia will overcome this serious illness, overcome it, walk, and become an example of resilience for many children.
