Hello, my name is Victoria. I am the mother of Angelenich Alisa, a 14 year-old girl with a very kind heart and a rich inner world.
Alisa was born a healthy child. She developed well, excelled in school, took dance classes, attended modeling school, and studied English. But in 2018, at the age of 12 years, Alisa suffered a very severe case of the so-called Turkish chickenpox, and then, shortly after, typical chickenpox. After this, Alisa began to experience serious health problems. She developed severe headaches. We were examined at the Children's City Clinical Hospital 3 in Odessa. The doctors couldn't diagnose anything. But my daughter's condition continued to deteriorate. Severe swelling developed, and her weight began to rapidly increase. We consulted an endocrinologist. The examination revealed that Alisa's liver function tests were very poor. Having ruled out a viral cause for the liver damage, my daughter was diagnosed with – hepatitis of unknown etiology. We are still on maintenance therapy with hepatoprotectors. But that's not all. In addition to my daughter's continued weakening, her headaches intensified, she was tormented by persistent nausea, and mental problems also developed. Alisa developed visual and auditory hallucinations and a depressive-anxiety disorder. Physical pain tormented her body, and mental disorders were wracking her mind. From a cheerful, sociable, and carefree girl, she began to transform into a seriously ill, withdrawn child.
In 2020 Alisa's condition deteriorated sharply. Visiting countless doctors in Odessa yielded no results. We underwent numerous tests, but our daughter's condition only worsened. The decision was made to go to Kyiv for an examination. We were examined at the Institute of Endocrinology and the Institute of Obstetrics and Pediatrics in Kyiv. After lengthy examinations, our daughter was hospitalized in serious condition at the Okhmatdet Clinic. It got to the point where Alisa's legs stopped working. After stabilizing her condition, we were transferred to a psychiatric clinic for further treatment and examination. We spent 4 months in Kyiv. We underwent all kinds of examinations. Alisa has a multi-symptom disease that affects all body systems. We still haven't determined a diagnosis. She is on maintenance therapy. She suffers severe physical and mental suffering every day. It's unbearable to watch!
After numerous unsuccessful examinations in Ukraine, we decided to undergo examinations abroad. After sending documents to every possible clinic, only one responded positively. This was the Turkish clinic, Liv Hospital. After reviewing our medical history and a brain MRI, they suspected a neurological disorder that requires a thorough examination. The clinic billed us 4575$, which is equal to 127 000 UAH. This is an unaffordable amount for our family!
Over these 2 years, our family spent all our savings on our daughter's medical examination. While in Kyiv, we repeatedly asked for help on social media, and friends and relatives helped us, for which we are very grateful!
Our family has known the Charity Foundation «Little Bee» for a long time. We were repeatedly invited to various charity events and concerts held by the foundation. Alisa happily attended all the events. And now, by a twist of fate, we are forced to turn to you for help.…
For me, as a mother, this is unbearable, it's hell on earth! Seeing your child suffer and not knowing how to help! This is the heartache that tears me apart! Our only hope is in you, our kind, compassionate helpers. I beg you to help my daughter end this suffering! You can help us get through this and end this torment for us and for Alisa! After all, every hryvnia is a chance for my girl's recovery!
